Frühlingsgrüsse aus Frankreich

Vor kurzem war ich in Frankreich, wo ich miterleben durfte, wie eine grosse Skulptur aus Edelstahl in einem parkähnlichen Garten ausserhalb von Paris aufgestellt wurde. Ein Erlebnis nicht nur für die neuen Besitzer, sondern auch für mich als Kunstberaterin. Nach einigen Verhandlungen und monatelangem Warten, war es endlich soweit. Unser Video gibt einige Einblicke in diesen besonderen Tag.

Zudem habe ich zum ersten Mal die sich unter UNESCO Weltkulturerbe befindende Villa Savoye des Schweizer Architekten Corbusier besucht. Einzigartig und ein Besuch wert!

Skulptur oder Architektur, was darf es sein?

“Torus” Installation

Im Herbst des vergangenen Jahres haben sich meine Kunden, die in einem wunderschönen, lichtdurchfluteten Haus mit einem parkähnlichen Garten wohnen, für eine drehbare Edelstahl Skulptur aus der englischen Manufaktur David Harber entschieden. Nach einigen Verhandlungen ging es dann an die Produktion. Toll war, dass die Kunden und ich regelmässig Updates und Fotos erhielten und wir so das Entstehen des Kunstwerkes Schritt für Schritt mitverfolgen konnten.

Anfangs Mai wurde dann die Skulptur angeliefert und aufgestellt. Es war eine grosse Freude, mit dabei zu sein und das Endresultat zu bewundern.

Villa Savoye by Corbusier, Poissy

Wer sich für Architektur interessiert, dem kann ich nur wärmsten empfehlen, die Villa Savoye in Poissy, unweit von Paris, zu besuchen.

Inmitten eines grossen Parks befindet sich diese einzigartige Villa, welche der Avantgarde-Architekt Corbusier im Jahr 1929 für das Ehepaar Pierre und Eugénie Savoye als Wochenendhaus gebaut hat. Wenn man bedenkt, dass dies bereits fast 100 Jahre her ist, ist es kaum zu glauben, wie modern und zeitgemäss dieses Gebäud noch heute ist. Die Villa Savoye ist eine Ikone der modernen Bewegung und wurde 2016 von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt.

Spring Greetings from France

Recently I was in France, where I was able to witness the installation of a large, rotating stainless steel sculpture in a park-like garden outside of Paris. A unique experience not only for the new owners, but also for me as an art consultant. After some negotiations back in October of last year and months of waiting, the time had finally come. Our video gives some insights into this special day.

I also travelled to Poissy (not far from Paris) where I visited the Villa Savoye by the Swiss architect Corbusier, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Simply stunning and certainly worth a visit!

Sculpture or architecture, what do you prefer?

“Torus” Installation

Last fall, my clients, who live in a beautiful, light-filled house within a magnificent park-like garden, decided on a stainless steel sculpture from the British manufactory David Harber. After numerous discussions and negotiations, production could begin. It was greatly appreciated to regularly receive updates and photos so that the collectors and myself could follow the creation of the artwork step by step.

The sculpture was delivered and installed at the beginning of May. It was an unforgettable experience and a great pleasure to be present and to have had the chance to admire the final result on site.

Villa Savoye by Corbusier, Poissy

If you are interested in architecture, I highly recommend a visit to the Villa Savoye in Poissy, not far from Paris.

This stunning house, built by the avant-garde architect Corbusier in 1929 for the couple Pierre and Eugénie Savoye as a weekend home, is located in the middle of a beautiful park. Considering that this was almost 100 years ago, it is hard to believe how modern and contemporary this house still is. The Villa Savoye remains an icon of the Modern Movement and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016.
